My name is Imani and I am the owner of Bates Play LLC I started the company in 2019 because I’ve always loved family game night. However it didn’t happen as often in my house as we got older and I feel like families should always have this bonding experience no matter what the age and everyone should be included in the game night so I wanted to make a company that was geared toward the entire family from babies up to grandparents being able to participate in the games. And 2022 I had my first child and I was over the moon. One thing that I’ve always wanted to do if I ever became a mom was to begin teaching my child while I was pregnant. The best way to teach a child while pregnant is to read to them as often as possible. Once my daughter was born we read books all the time but I found that the type of books I want it to read I wanted to make sure she could learn from. I also wanted a collection of books that taught in every area of life that way she wasn’t learning at new ages things that could’ve helped her grow in a positive direction at her youngest age possible. This is what led to the start of my daughters, bookshelf collection, where I along with my daughter are the authors of “Sophia‘s bookshelf collection”. The collection includes boy and girl versions of multiple books and it teaches spiritual education, inspiration & motivation for children of all ages as well as, life lessons, lessons about God, different trades & how to use their imagination to enjoy their childhood and create a better world for them and everyone around them. Wow right now we are focusing on the book collection which is ever-growing. We have so much more that we want to do with the series and I hope to go to share it with every young child in the world.
